Our Statement of Faith

OUR MISSION

To assist the Church by equipping and igniting believers to share their faith in Jesus Christ with “the least of these.”

OUR STRATEGY

Three Primary Strategies: Behind The Walls Weekend of Champions/Day of Champions ~ Conduct evangelistic training in cities around the country and the world, preparing teammates to go with us on evangelistic events in prisons and jails.  Champions For Today ~ conduct school assemblies using former professional athletes to communicate a message of hope, right choices, and wherever possible, the Gospel to youth all across this country.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

  1. We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God. (Ps 19:7-11, 2 Tim. 3:16)
  2. We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Mt. 28:19, Jn. 1:32-34, Eph. 4:4-6)
  3. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, His sinless life, his miracles, His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, His bodily resurrection, his ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and glory. (Jn. 8:58, 14:6, Rev. 1:17-18)
  4. We believe the salvation of lost, sinful man and his regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.  (Rom. 3:23-25, 6:23, Eph. 2:1-3)
  5. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, whose indwelling presence in the Christian enables him/her to live a godly life. (Jn. 14:16-18, Rom. 8:9-11)
  6. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. (Eph. 4:1-3, Phil. 2:1-4)
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost when Christ returns for His Church.  Those who are saved will be resurrected to life; those who are lost will be resurrected to damnation. (Dan. 12; Jn. 5:28-29, Rev. 20:12-15)
