A local team is a group of teammates in an area working together to setup and put on a prison or school event. Committed local teams are how CFL is able to do the ministry it does. Local teams are comprised of the following roles:

| Head Coach |
- Accepts full responsibility for all phases of the weekend planning and execution
- Coordinator/ Facilitator:
- Prepares and communicates the local Plan & Play Book
- Assembles and Leads the Functional Team
- Monitors progress, ensuring Functional Team tasks are being accomplished on time
- Provides guidance to the Functional Teams
- Communicator- Insures key information is made available & heard
- Motivator/ Promoter – Encourages / ensures CFL event awareness remains in front of the CFL and local community – especially for the three months prior to the CFL.

- Liaison with CFL Office
- Checks calendars of major denominations and civic events to ensure the CFL EVENT does not create a major conflict
- Functions as eyes, ears and hands of local team … ensuring issues are resolved

Prayer Team |
| |
- Plan and enlist a network of believers that will pray every day for the CFL EVENT
- Enlist a Team to help implement The Prayer Net Plan.
- Ensure every planning session begins and ends with prayer
- Enlist the Vets and others in Prayer through weekly prayer reminders and specific prayer requests for a different Functional Team each week
- Lead a 40 days of prayer campaign prior to the CFL EVENT
- Arrange for a CFL Hotel prayer room on Friday and Saturday 8am – 4pm
- Line up people from local churches to man the room through those times
- Ask people that can’t go to the prison for health reasons
- Suggest 1 hour sessions / person
- Suggest these people come to the Thursday night program and the Friday night Victory Banquet
- Pray for the objectives above all day Friday and Saturday

- Establish ASAP an Effective Money Raising Team
- Recruit folks who believe in the program & will personally give
- Recruit folks willing to visit acquaintances and ask for a significant donation
- Finance Team members need not be CFL Veterans

- Establish Kick Off Banquet: Time, Place, Food
- Prepare Program & Work with Promotion Special Team for printed materials you will need
- Ticket Sales
- Work with CFL Functional Team to establish ticket price
- Arrange through the Promotion Coaching Staff for ticket printing
- Enlist & coordinate the entire local CFL Team in ticket sales
- Develop List of Table Sale Prospects & Sales approach
- Promote ticket sales to veterans,friends of the ministry and churches
- Organize a Ticket Sales Phone bank two weeks before the Banquet
- Silent Auction
- Donation promotion
- Friday Victory Banquet

- Organize a strong creative Promotion Team ASAP
- Coordinate with CFL headquarters to understand and utilize available support
- Based on past experience of local CFL events, plan the promotional items that will be needed, plan and schedule production
- Prepare a plan and budget for promoting all key events, review with Coaching Staff and CFL Director
- Interface with the various Functional Team Leaders and coordinators and supply their promotional needs
- The following Tasks will need some level of Promotion:
- Freshmen Recruiting
- Veteran Recruiting
- University, Seminary Recruiting
- CFL Web Site info & update
- The Banquet
- Monthly News Letters
- Posters for Prisons & Churches
- Church Bulletin Inserts

- Sign-up your Team Members ASAP
- Define all Transportation Needs & Schedules
- Prepare addresses and GPS devises (or maps with marked routes) for every driver
- Define the source for every vehicle that will be required
- Prepare, Publish & Communicate one week prior to CFL Event detailed transportation plan
- Meet 5 transportation needs:
- Airport pick-up/drop-offs
- Platform Guests transport
- Teammate transportation to & from prisons
- Maps & Directions
- Special transportation needs

Hospitality Team |

- Accept full responsibility for a smooth running Control/Hospitality Room for the duration of event
- Recruit a competent Hospitality Team
- Seek out food donations to reduce costs
- Place a welcome basket in each Platform Guest Room
- Arrange for a light hot breakfast for Platform Guests in The control room on Friday and Saturday morning
- Maintain fresh coffee, water, soft drinks, and snacks in the Control/Hospitality Center
- Plan to help platform guests with their personal needs. Go get their personal requests
- Ensure the Hotel keeps the Hospitality/Control Room clean

Tech Team |

- Accept full responsibility for the CFL event electronics and sound systems
- Assemble a TECH TEAM of adequate competence and number to assure the objectives can be met. (Every Church has one or more sound/video technician)
- Determine needs at each prison, jail and banquet hall.
- Design a sound and lighting system for each prison, jail and banquet hall to meet the needs of the Platform Guests and Speakers
- Work with the Event Director early to determine the available equipment
- Define the missing components and find a way to get them available well before the banquets and CFL Event
- Prepare a spares list of entire systems, components, connectors, extension cords, etc. to have available for an emergency
- Oversee pick-up and transportation of all equipment and its return
- Ensure the TECH TEAM has transportation and everyone properly certified for all prisons and jails
- Prepare a plan, in writing, defining who, how and what equipment will be installed and checked out at each prison, jail and banquet hall so that it is operating before it is needed

Follow-up Team |

- Visit each prison or jail Chaplain prior to the CFL event to determine for each prison and jail the allowable timing and number of Bible Study Sessions that will be allowed and any protocols to be followed
- Schedule the study sessions no later than the 3rd week following the event
- Enlist at least two Bible Study Leaders for each prison and jail
- Prepare a specific, complete plan for each prison and jail and communicate it to the CFL Team in writing. The plan is to include for each prison and jail the schedule, dates. Location, study leaders by name, and how the inmate gets on the list to attend. This will be given to all Teammates for communication to those inmate that want to participate
- Select and accumulate an adequate number of study guides.
- Train the study leaders in the literature to be used
- Study Plans should include at least 2 days of 2-3 hours each
- Prepare an evaluation sheet for the inmates to provide feedback about the effectiveness of the sessions that can be used to improve future sessions
